2007 Home Opener - TONIGHT!Cavaliers RETURN HOME
Raleigh-Egypt vs Crockett County

The Crockett County Cavaliers will play in the 2007 season home opener tonight at Cavalier Stadium. The Cavaliers are coming off of two disapointing losses and will look to get back inton the win column this week as they play host to the Pharoahs of Raleigh-Egypt.

Raleigh-Egypt is 0-3, but plays in the AAAA classification of the TSSAA. Crockett County plays in AAA. The game will begin at 7:30 PM CST and will be braodcast live on WCTA 810 AM. Come out to support the Cavaliers as they look to get the 2007 home schedule started off with a victory.

COVINGTON, TN - One point was the difference on a rainy Friday night in Covington. The Chargers got a leg up on the race for the 2007 Region 7AAA Championship as they defeated the Cavaliers by a score of 7-6.

Crockett County got on the board first and led 6-0 at the half, but Covington managed to put together a touchdown drive in the second half and the extra point was enough to make the difference. The Cavaliers have not been 0-2 since the 1999 season when they dropped the first two games to Lake County and McNairy Central. The Crockett County squad will look to get back in the win column this week as they face Raleigh-Egypt in the 2007 home opener. The game will start at 7:30 PM CST and will be braodcast live on WCTA 810 AM.

HUMBOLDT, TN - The Cavaliers missed an opportunity for some revenge last night as they narrowly missed an opporunity to defeat the Humboldt Vikings in the 2007 season opener at Humboldt High School. The Cavaliers have still never defeated the Vikings and have lost eleven straight to the Humboldt squad since the teams began playing each other in 1985.

The Cavaliers will stya on the road next week as they head down to Tipton County to take on the rival Covington Chargers. Covington defeated the cavaleirs last year inthe second round of the state playoffs. The game begins at 7:30 PM CST and can be heard on WCTA 810 AM.

The Crockett County Cavaliers will play the Humboldt Vikings tonight as they kick off the 2007 football season. Tonight's match renews an old rivalry which has been dominated by Humboldt. The Vikings are 10-0 all-time against the Cavaliers.

The game will be played at Humboldt High School and kickoff will be at 7:30 PM CST. The game can be heard live on the air or online on WCTA 810 AM. Crockett Football Online will only have limited coverage of the games this year. The 2007 season will begin this Frday at the Cavaliers travel to take on the Humboldt High School Vikings. The Cavaliers will have a lot to overcome this year as there have been many changes take place both on and off the field during the offseason.

P.A. Pratt will begin his 13th season as the head coach of the Cavaliers. In this thirteen years Pratt has managed to accumulate a 103-42 record and ten straight TSSAA playoff appeareances, including one state runner-up finish in 2001. Pratt will see some changes this year though as he leaves the classroom to take on the job of being an assistant principal at CCHS. There have also been a lot of changes in the starting lineup, especially in the offensive backfield. Gone are Massey, Perry, and the Johnson twins. This year you'll see guys by the name of Whitby, Lyons, and Lopez featured on offense.

The Cavaliers will kick off the 2007 season this Friday at Humboldt High School. The Cavaliers have not faced Humboldt in regular season play since 1996. The Cavaliers lost that game by a score of 63-0. In fact the Cavaliers have never defeated Humboldt, going 0-10 against the Vikings since their first meeting in 1985.

Kickoff this Friday will be at 7:30 PM. Journey out to support the Cavaliers as they begin the 2007 football season. The game can also be heard on WCTA 810 AM.
